Hello! Hello! Hello!
I read so many amazing books this year but I also read some disappointing ones. I was so eager to grab these but they just didn’t live up to my expectations. Allons-y!
These three were probably the most disappointing of the bunch. I was so looking forward to reading them and honestly, I should’ve DNFd these in the first 100 pages.

♦ Once & Future by Amy Rose Capetta, Cori McCarthy ⇒ Review ♦
♦ Kingdom of Souls by Rena Barron ♦
I’m so brokenhearted that I didn’t enjoy these more cause they are both books with asexual rep. Tarnished are the Stars was missing a little something for me though I found the ace rep was solid. As for Let’s Talk about Love was just… ugh! So many things are wrong with this book and it makes me sad cause it is an #ownvoice author.

Again, two books for which I had such high expectations. With a title like Waiting for Tom Hanks, you need to bring it. It started good but after a while, it just started falling apart for me. As for Kill Creek, I was so bored. It was predictable and lack originality. Honestly, the story seemed like a rewrite of a Supernatural episode.

♦ Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey ♦
Let’s chat!

It’s such a bummer when the books we’re excited for don’t work for us. I was also let down with Waiting for Tom Hanks. There’s only so much I could take from the narrator.
I’ve been going back and forth with posting about my disappointing reads of 2019 as well, but you gave me the nudge I needed. 🙂

I was really let down by Waiting for Tom Hanks, too. There was only so much I could take from the narrator’s way of thinking before I started to break. XD

I heard lots of readers grumbling about Once & Future, so your reaction doesn’t surprise me😁
