This has been a long time coming, oh my gosh, but finally sharing my review for Meet me at Midnight by Jessica Pennington.

I think it’s safe to say that I am a super fan of Jessica Pennington. I will read anything that she puts out there no matter the genre. I love her writing and though I often say I struggle with YA contemporary just because I have trouble relating to the characters I don’t have any trouble at all with Jessica’s writing. Meet Me at Midnight was another solid book for her. I might even say it’s possible my favourite that she’s written.
Meet Me At Midnight was so much fun. I love that it was in the same universe as her two first books and don’t worry you don’t have to have read them this is not a series. It just takes place at the same resort as the last book. And there’s a cameo but besides that you are good to read this one as is. If you are familiar with her writing this one is just like her other two, told in a dual POV and showcases one of my favourite trope: ennemies to lovers because I am that basic B, lol. The prank feud between Sydney and Asher was so great. I’m not sure where she got all the ideas but some of them are hilarious.
Jessica is an amazing romance author. I swear I become giddy like a 14 year old girl when I read her novels. She has this type of prose that mixes banter and sensitivity that I just love. You always end up rooting for the characters to be together. She is always my go-to for summer reads and as I mentionned earlier this is probably my favourite book of hers.
If you are a fan of Kasie West’s books, please do yourself a favour and check out Jessisca’s books, I swear you won’t regret it. Perfect read for a lazy Summer day.
